Uploads > File Upload
How to prepare for your Upload:
First, you will want to Download A Template (.csv) from the dropdown.
There are two different types of templates that you will be able to import into our system
Upload/Update OAGenius
This upload will allow the software to automatically begin tracking listings to their associated listings that are live within Amazon.
This upload will NOT create new listings on Amazon, it will only create the associated listing within OAGenius for inventory, price, and order management purposes.
The unique identifier is SKU, so you will want to make sure that the SKU for each of the products in this template are matching an associated SKU in Amazon.
Q: When do I Use This Upload?
A: If you are new to OAGenius and would like to bulk upload your products into the system, or if you would like to bulk update important information across many listings at once (Handling Days, Active/Inactive, Archive/Unarchive)
NOTE: Mandatory Fields Will Be Marked With A Star (*)
*ASIN (Amazon Stock Identifying Number)
Grab your ASIN from the product page on Amazon it should start with B00..
*SKU
The SKU will be your unique identifier within our system. It doesn't matter what it is, as long as it's unique. The SKU sometimes gets populated automatically. This usually happens when creating variation listings, and with certain sources for all products. If the system generates a SKU for you, do not override that SKU, it is needed to track the variation listing. Other times you will be able to input a SKU of your choice. If listing products that already exist on Amazon you must match the SKU in the system to the associated SKU on Amazon. As stated previously, If the product is a variation listing at the source site and OAGenius needs to generate a SKU for management, you will need to delete the product from Amazon and re-add it from within our system or via an upload template for management.
Note: DO NOT begin your SKU name with a ZERO (0) - Excel does not like this.
*Source URL
Add the source URL of the item you are listing.
*Handling Time
Handling time is the time in-between when the order is placed on Amazon and when you are able to ship out that product, meaning, there is a tracking number inside of Amazon and it is confirmed as shipped. A handling time of 4-5 days is ideal when you first start off.
*Shipping Cost
Shipping costs are found on the source site when adding an item to your cart.
*Listed By:
This is the person that is responsible for sourcing the listing. This will be used to build reports around which sourcing is your most and least profitable employee within a given period. These reports can be found on the within the sourcing analysis
*Bundle Qty:
Scenario 1: Both the ASIN and the source site offer one broom.
Here you would use a bundle quantity 1 since it's a one to one scenario.
Scenario 2: If the ASIN is for two brooms but the source site is for one broom.
Here you would add a bundle quantity of 2 since you would have to order two of that item from the source site to complete the ASIN.
Scenario 3: If the ASIN is for six brooms but the source site is for two brooms.
Here you would add a bundle quantity of 3 since you would have to order three of that item from the source site to complete the ASIN.
Scenario 4: Both the ASIN and the source site is for two brooms.
In this case, since both are selling two brooms, you would use a bundle quantity of 1 again.
Note: The bundle quantity is always on the source site side. For bundle quantity, always ask yourself “How many items on the source site do I need to order in order to fulfill whatever is being offered on Amazon side?”
Active/Inactive:
- Make listing inactive
The word "Inactive" should be filled into the column within the file
Inactive listings will not be tracked for inventory, price, or billing purposes. When you make a listing inactive, the system will change the QTY to 0 on Amazon.
Once we receive a confirmation that the QTY has been changed to 0 on Amazon, we will no longer monitor available inventory or source price.
Note: This can be useful for a temporary fix, you may want to put mismatched listings or bundle discrepancy listings into this status until they are amended by yourself or your staff.
- Make listing active
The word "Active" should be filled into the column within the file
When you make a listing active, we will check the source site to see if the item is available. If the item is available, we will then make the item active on Amazon with the default QTY from your settings page in place. We will also begin monitoring product cost.
Archived/Unarchived:
- Archive Listing
The word "Archive" should be filled into the column within the file
Archive listings will not be tracked for inventory, price, or billing purposes. When you Archive a listing, the system will change the QTY to 0 on Amazon.

You may want to Archive a listing or set of listings, instead of deleting the items from the system, so that employees will not list the same product to your account again.
